In January – Feburary 2014, Eurocement Ukraine shipped its customers 73 767 t of cement, a 10.7% y/y (7137 t) increase compared to the same period a year earlier.

The most popular among consumers were cement types CEM I. 42.5 N and CEM II / AS 32.5 R. During the reporting period, the company shipped 42 935 t of CEM I. 42.5 N and CEM II / AS 32.5 R cements, a 33.6% y/y rise compared to the first two months of 2013. Cements CEM I. 42.5 N and CEM II / AS 32.5 R are used in the construction of residential homes and commercial properties, as well as pavements.

Akhangarancement

Russia’s Akhangarancement, part of the Eurocement group, showed steady production growth in January – February 2014. During the reporting period the company produced 151 535 t of clinker and 218 075 t of cement, up by 10% y/y (13 235 t) and 30% y/y (50 575 t), respectively, compared to January – February 2013. During the same period Akhangarancement shipped its customers 230 321 t of cement, a 30% y/y (52 696 t) increase compared to the first two months of 2013. Shipments of bagged cement rose by 24% y/y (8557 t).

Cement type PPC Cement 400 saw the greatest demand from consumers. During the first two months of 2014 the company shipped 99 337 t of PPC Cement 400 to its customers, 133% more than the same period in 2013. PPC Cement 400 is used in the construction of residential homes, commercial properties and transport infrastructure.

Manufacture of refractory bricks in January – February 2014 totalled 263 t, a 12% y/y (28 t) increase compared to the same period in 2013. During the same period the company produced 197 484 t of limestone, an 18% y/y increase compared to January – February 2013.
