Eurocement’s Russian subsidiaries see a rise in production and sales

Pikalevsky Cement

Eurocement’s Pikalevsky Cement, one of the leading manufacturers in the Northwest region of Russia, shipped 89 500 t of high quality and environmentally friendly cement to its customers in February 2014, representing a 1.6% y/y (1392 t) increase compared to February 2013.

Shipments of bagged cement stood at 3740 t, a 10.3% y/y (349.25 t) rise compared to the same month a year earlier. The company packages CEM II / A 32.5 B cement in 50 kg ecological paper sandwich bags, which are shipped in railway cars and vehicles.

Cement production for February 2014 totalled 89 000 t, exceeding the amount produced in February 2013 by 218 t. Furthermore, the company produced 167 400 t of limestone in the first two months of 2014, a 26.7% y/y increase compared to February 2013.

Lipetskcement

Lipetskcement, one of the largest cement producers in Russia’s Central Federal District, produced 81 420 t of cement in the first two months of 2014, an 8.8% y/y (6590 t) increase against the same period in 2013. In February 2014, the company produced 44 000 t of cement, which is 5% (2070 tonnes) higher than the amount produced in February last year.

High quality Bezdobavochny CEM  I 42.5 H cement represented half of the total cement production in February 2014 due to strong demand from consumers. During the month, the company produced 21 230 t of CEM  I 42.5 H cement, surpassing February 2013’s figure by 12% (2280 t).

Clinker production in February 2014 stood at 80 000 t, 3.3% y/y increase compared to February 2013. In January – February 2014, the company produced 185 500 t of clinker, a 24% y/y (35 830 t) rise compared to the same month a year earlier.
