Sukholozhskcement

Dyckerhoff Group’s Sukholozhskcement produced 3 million t of cement in 2013, a new record for the company. The increased production capacity was attributed to the fifth manufacturing line, which was commissioned in 2010. Since the installation, the company has been able to ensure a production capacity of 2.4 million tpa.

Sukholozhskcement has manufactured approximately 89 million t of cement since the setting up of the business in 1972. The company is expected to reach 90 million t in the first six months of 2014.

Mikhailovcement

Mikhailovcement, part of the Eurocement Group, saw an increased production capacity in 2013. The company produced 1.181 million t of clinker and 1.359 million t of cement in 2013, an increase of 3.1% y/y (35 200 t) and 7.2% y/y (91 600 t), respectively, compared to 2012. In 2013 Mikhailovcement shipped 1.355 million t of high quality, environmentally friendly cement, a 6.6% y/y increase compared to the same period in 2012. The growth in shipments of finished goods by road was 15.7%.

Mikhailovcement has also seen steady growth in shipments of bagged cement.  168 700 t of containers (50 kg paper sandwich bags) were shipped in 2013, a 10.7% y/y increase compared to 2012.

Katavsky Cement

Eurocement’s Katavsky Cement produced 1.155 million t of cement and 947 700 t of clinker in 2013, an increase of 1.9% y/y (21 800 t) and 6.9% y/y (61 200 t), respectively, compared to 2012. The company also saw a 7.3% growth in shipments of bagged cement in 2013. Shipments of 1000 kg soft containers saw a 5.3% y/y increase and shipments of 50 kg paper sandwich bags rose by 9.3% y/y.

The cement type CEM II / A 32.5 B accounted for some 75% of the total shipments. However, the company witnessed a steady growth in demand for the cement types CEM I 42.5 N (48% y/y) and CEM II / B 32.5 N (22.8% y/y). Production of CEM I 42.5 N and CEM II / B 32.5 N increased by 48.3% y/y and 6.6% y/y, respectively, in 2013.
