Saxlund International partners with Axis Industries

World Cement,

UK-based Saxlund International has formed a partnership with Lithuania’s Axis Industries. The partnership will bring together the companies’ key competencies, enabling the provision of alternative energy technology solutions to EPC biomass combustion contracts in the UK, including contract management processes and automatic and electro-engineering equipment.

Saxlund has more than 60 years’ experience in biomass combustion and materials handling solutions, while Axis specialises in biomass energy with 20 years of experience within the field of alternative energy.

The agreement represents a pan-European engineering capability comprising 1000 employees and a combined turnover of approximately €100 million.

“This new relationship marks an exciting time for us and provides a truly one-stop-shop for our customers,” said Managing Director of Saxlund International, Matt Drew. “We're delighted to be working in conjunction with such a prominent name in the biomass energy sector and are excited to be able to bring Axis technology to EPC projects in the UK. This partnership provides the synergy of best in class companies working together to provide solutions and enables us to further strengthen our offering to our biomass customers.”

“Axis has a strong reputation in the biomass sector and we're proud to be working in partnership with them. It also provides a gateway to the lucrative developing markets in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union where Axis licenses Saxlund technology. Together we are determined to become the partner of choice for biomass and EPC contracts Europe wide from the Republic of Ireland to Russia and most countries in between,” Drew added.
