World Cement,
CIMAF has officially opened a new plant in Cameroon, with a special inauguration ceremony attended by the country’s Prime Minister. The plant is the country’s third cement plant, the others being owned by Lafarge and Dangote Cement, respectively.
CIMAF is a company of the Moroccan Addoha group, which also has cement plants in Morocco, the Ivory Coast and Guinea. The new plant in Cameroon has a capacity of 500 000 tpy. Customers will already have been able to buy CIMAF brand cement for some time, as the plant began production last year. Construction initially began in 2012 and has taken an investment of CFA20 billion.
