Loesche wins supply contract for Obajana cement plant
Sinoma International Engineering Co. Ltd, acting on behalf of Dangote Cement, has placed an order with Loesche for three vertical roller mills. The mills will be installed at Obajana 4, Nigeria. Loesche has previously delivered equipment to Obajana 3, and recently announced that it would be supplying Dangote with five VRMs for lines 3 and 4 of the Ibese cement plant, Nigeria.
One LM 69.4 type mill, which has a mill motor capacity of 4300 kW, will be located in the raw material grinding plant. It will grind the material at a rate of 450 tph at a fineness of 10% R DIN 0.09 mm. Two further mills will be installed in the clinker grinding plant. These LM 63.3+3C mills will grind clinker type CEM I A-L 42.5 at a rate of 310 tph at 3200 Blaine, and CEM II 32.5 at a rate of 335 – 360 tph at 3200 – 3500 Blaine. The mills have a motor capacity of 6300 kW.
Loesche will also provide metal detectors and rotary feeders. The scope of supply comprises of Loesche parts and a Chinese manufactured portion organised by Sinoma International under Loesche’s supervision. Delivery is set for the end of 2013.
