The US$125 million commercial-scale carbon capture and utilisation project is the first of its kind worldwide and has a total carbon impact of 300 000 tpa. The plant will directly capture 75 000 tpa of CO2 and transform it into solid, usable products, such as baking soda (sodium bicarbonate), bleach and hydrochloric acid (HCl).
