Holcim Argentina selects KHD for cement plant modernisation

LafargeHoclim's Holcim Argentina has selected KHD for a modernisation project of a clinker production line in its cement plant in Malagueño, Córdoba, Argentina.
Holcim Argentina is to recommission its 1650 tpd clinker line, originally provided by KHD in the 1980s, strengthening its position in the growing Argentinian cement market.
Along with the supply of electrical engineering and mechanical equipment for raw material preparation and clinker production, KHD's project will include the supply of electrical equipment in order to modernise and recommission the currently mothballed production line.
The core of the equipment provide by KHD will include tertiary raw material crusher with a capacity of 250tph, a four-stage preheater of latest KHD design, a kiln feed dosing system, and a high efficiency separator for raw material grinding plant.
The commissioning of the modernised production line is planned for middle of 2019.
