FLSmidth wins two Brazilian cement contracts
FLSmidth has won two new orders for the Brazilian cement industry. The first contract is for Companhia De Cimento Da Paraíba’s greenfield Pitimbu plant in Paraíba state. FLSmidth will provide major equipment, engineering services and project management, as well as commissioning. The order follows the successful commissioning of the FLSmidth supplied plant at Sete Lagaos, which is operating above expected capacity.
FLSmidth will also be supplying Cia. De Cimento Itambé’s Balsa Nova plant, Paraná state, with a VRM for cement grinding. This is the 19th OK mill to be sold in Brazil.
“We are very happy about the sustained leadership of the FLSmidth OK mill on the Brazilian market and the continued partnership with our Brazilian customers,” said Per Mejnert Kristensen, President, Cement Division.
“A close relationship with our customers is also important in relation to product and technology development and as part of the constant efforts to expand our position as supplier of the best available technology and trustworthy partner.”
