For the fourth edition of the Quarry Life Award, HeidelbergCement’s subsidiary Lehigh Hanson will once again join, with three quarries in the US and one in Canada.
In the US, the quarries “Eagle Mills Sand & Gravel Plant” in Camden (Arkensas), “New Windsor limestone quarry” in New Windsor (Maryland) and “Nazareth Quarry I” in Northampton County (Pennsylvania) will be opening their doors for projects by scientists and communities. In Canada, the Cadomin limestone quarry, located in the town of Cadomin (Alberta), was chosen to participate.
The QLA team, alongside the national coordinator, are looking to forward as many project proposals for raising awareness about the biological value of mineral extraction sites.
