McInnis Cement launches website for new plant project in Canada

World Cement,

Canada’s McInnis Cement has launched a French-English bilingual website for its cement plant project in Port-Daniel-Gascons, Québec.

Around $1 billion is being invested in the cement plant, which will generate 600 jobs in the construction phase and 400 direct and indirect positions once the plant begins operations. The site is located on a high-quality limestone deposit, estimated to contain more than 450 million t. Thus far, the property has been purchased and development work has commenced, including site preparation, access road and maritime terminal, engineering and environmental upgrades.

The newly launched website displays a 3D animation of the project, as well as information, updates and frequently asked questions.

“The website is a reflection of our commitment to the population to keep them well-informed about our project. It will be regularly updated with the latest information. In fact, we would like to reiterate that environmental updates will be available on our website once the Ministry of Environment has completed its analysis to its satisfaction,” said Christian Gagnon, President and Chief Executive Officer of McInnis Cement.
