CarbonCure joins Canadian Technology Accelerator programme

World Cement,

CarbonCure Technologies Inc., a company offering CO2 sequestration solutions to concrete product manufacturers, has been selected to join the Canadian Technology Accelerator (CTA) programme in New York City. The programme was established by Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada and is a partnership between the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service in New York City and San Francisco. It aims to give the participating companies a boost in global markets by providing access to unique resources and contacts.

CarbonCure hopes its participation in the CTA will help the company to realise its expansion plans beyond Canadian borders. According to a recent report, the Canadian clean technology sector is a major economic driver with advanced potential for export compared to the average small or medium business.

“We are thrilled to be part of the Canadian Technology Accelerator, where we are joining an impressive list of like-minded Canadian clean technology companies also looking to do business in the US,” says CarbonCure’s CEO and Founder Robert Niven.

CarbonCure has had a good start to the year, with a move to larger facilities and the addition of a cement industry expert as its new Chief Technology Officer. The company already has license agreements with three companies in the concrete products industry.
