PHS Besafe has won the contract to supply protective Workwear for Aggregate Industries.

Aggregate Industries quarries, manufactures and supplies a wide range of building materials, from concrete and asphalt, to stone and cement. It employs more than 4000 service personnel across 200 sites throughout Northern Europe and the Channel Islands.

PHS Besafe entered into a trial period with Aggregate Industries to provide services to two of its most challenging depots. PHS Besafe was able to practically assess the company’s requirements and match the most appropriate range to each environment. This included supplying flame retardant garments for welders and specialist Arc protective clothing for electricians. PHS Besafe’s team also instructed Aggregate Industries staff in the laundering process to increase the lifespan of the garments and ensure that they remained fit-for-purpose.

Over the two-year trial period, PHS Besafe was able to demonstrate tangible benefits; clearly showing how its knowledge and expertise could reduce the time Aggregate Industries was spending on Workwear administration. As a result, PHS Besafe is now the mandatory supplier for all Aggregate Industries’ sites and is responsible for providing, laundering and maintaining up to 20 000 garments on a weekly basis.
