Material Evolution named a winner of the World Economic Forum's UpLink Low-Carbon and Circular Systems Challenge

Material Evolution, the UK-based low-carbon cement innovator, has been named a winner of the World Economic Forum's UpLink Low-Carbon and Circular Systems Challenge, recognising the company's work to decarbonise cement production at scale.

The announcement was made at the Senior Advisory Meeting of the Alliance of CEO Climate Leaders, held at the World Economic Forum's New York office, as part of the WEF's Alliance of CEO Climate Leaders programme, spotlighting emerging green growth opportunities in the fight against climate change.

Material Evolution's technology reduces the carbon footprint of cement production without compromising performance, addressing one of the hardest-to-abate sectors in global industry, responsible for around 8% of global CO₂ emissions.
