World Cement,

4B Components Ltd

4B Components Ltd, manufacturer of material handling and electronic components for bucket elevators and conveyors, has announced that Brain Knapp has been appointed as Vice President. Knapp will have responsibility for Technical Sales and Service for the Electronics Division. He first joined 4B in 2005 as an engineer within the Electronics Department and has vast experience of delivering presentations on hazard monitoring.

Aggreko

Chris Weston has officially taken up the role of Chief Executive Officer at Aggreko, following the announcement of his appointment in May 2014. Ken Hanna, who had assumed the position of Executive Chairman in the interim, has now reverted to his previous position of Non-Executive Chairman.

UK Green Building Council

The Board of Trustees at the UK Green Building Council (UK-GBC) has appointed Julie Hirigoyen as the organisation’s new Chief Executive. Hirigoyen is currently UK Head of Sustainability for JLL. She will take up her new role in April 2015, succeeding outgoing Chief Executive Paul King.

“I’m thrilled by the opportunity of leading UK-GBC through the next stage of its journey. Its outstanding reputation is richly deserved – not least due to Paul King’s own transformational leadership, but also the sustainability knowhow and can-do attitude of a professional team and a committed membership,” said Hirigoyen. “We’ve come a long way over the past decade, with sustainability now a mainstream concern for many organisations involved in the built environment. The next step requires mass uptake of sustainability solutions across the entire property lifecycle, breaking down silos and deploying systems-thinking to achieve radical change. I am truly excited to tackle this challenge alongside the existing UK-GBC team, members and Trustees.”
