Francesco Brambilla becomes new CEO of Heidelberg Materials Trading

Heidelberg Materials Trading, a subsidiary of Heidelberg Materials,, announces that Francesco Brambilla has been named as the company’s CEO effective 1 June 2026.

He succeeds José Maria Magrina Vadillo, who will further pursue his career in a different role inside Heidelberg Materials.

Francesco Brambilla joined the Heidelberg Materials Group in 2001 and held several managerial roles, amongst other as International Terminals Director in Switzerland. In July 2016, Francesco assumed the position of Area Director Market Intelligence & Sales Processes for the Africa-Eastern Mediterranean Basin Group area. Over the years, he has held different relevant roles in the Group progressively widening his responsibilities before taking on his current role as Area Director Business Operations for the Africa-Mediterranean-Western Asia (AMWA) Group area in 2024. Francesco reports to Hakan Gurdal, Member of the Managing Board at Heidelberg Materials and is responsible for AMWA.
