Autostrada A1
Cemex recently contributed to the Autostrada A1, or the Amber Highway, which was an important project that will connect the major Baltic coast ports with the southern and central parts of Poland.
Slawomir Dobrowolski, Cemex Director of the Ready-mix Mobile Plants Division in Poland and President of Cemex Infrastruktura, commented: “This portion of the Amber Highway was constructed in sections 1000 - 2200 m long performed within 30 - 72 hour windows. We erected two mobile ready-mix plants at each section which could independently produce 4000 - 7000 m3 of ready-mix concrete for each layer.”
Trzebinia roadway
Cemex was also selected to serve as the main contractor for the reconstruction of 400 m of roadway in Trzebinia, Poland. Local and neighbouring authorities as well as Cemex representatives attended the opening ceremony for the reconstructed road.
President of Cemex, Poland, Marcelo Catala, also commented: “Both projects represent a great example of close cooperation with our customers. As always, our team listened to the customers, understanding their challenges, and providing valuable solutions accompanied by unparalleled 24-hour customer service.”
