China National Building Materials Group Corporation celebrates the Spring Festival

Ambassadors visit Oman and Saudi Arabia

Across the world, China National Building Materials Group Corporation (CNBM) has been celebrating the traditional Spring Festival. In Oman, the Chinese ambassador Wu Jiuhong led a team to visit the site of the OCC project of CNBM International Engineering Co., Ltd (CNBM Engineering) under China National Building Materials Import & Export Corporation (CBMIE). The delegation received a warm welcome and was given a general introduction to CNB and the OCC project.

The ambassador encouraged CBMIE to make great efforts in the expansion of line one at OCC to ensure customer satisfaction and to establish the CBMIE brand in the market. The delegation also visited the project site and the living quarters, admiring the field production management and safety management.

In Saudi Arabia, Chinese ambassador Li Chengwen and economic and commercial counsellor of the Chinese embassy, Wang You, led a delegation to visit the Saudi Arabia company of CNBM Engineering under CBMIE.

The delegation talked with the staff and heard a presentation from the company’s representative regarding CNBM’s overseas strategic objective, the implementation of overseas projects and its overseas market development. The company has just completed work on the NRCC project in Saudi Arabia and the representative reviewed the problems encountered and achievements made in this regard. Work has begun on the recently contracted SPCC Bisha Line 2 project, which the representative was also able to give some details of.

The ambassador spoke highly of CNBM Engineering's achievements in Saudi Arabia and exchanged ideas with the staff of the Saudi Arabia Company on how Chinese engineering contractors conduct continuous diversified operations in Saudi Arabia. He stressed that the company and its project sites should pay attention to safety, avoid property losses and personal injuries, and properly deal with labour-management relations. The accompanying staff of the economic and commercial counsellor's office interpreted local labour policies and laws for the staff of the Saudi Arabia Company.

Conference in Iran

On 26 January, CNBM Engineering under CBMIE held a conference in Tehran on the theme ‘cement technology discussion and system service integration of CNBM Engineering. This marked the first official brand promotion of CNBM Engineering in the country.

The conference was attended by over 150 delegates, including some 120 customers from the Iranian cement industry and representatives from renowned European equopment suppliers such as IKN, Loesche, Pillard, Refratechnik, Ventomatic, FLSmidth MAAG Gear, Magotteaux, CMD and Schneider.
