Unicast Builds charitable scheme launched to celebrate Unicast, Inc.’s anniversary

World Cement,

To mark its 20th anniversary, Canada-based Unicast, Inc. has launched ‘Unicast Builds’. This initiative will help to raise funds for the construction of concrete housing in Haiti and the Philippines through reconstruction projects led by the Canadian charity Chalice. Unicast Builds will include fundraising events, percentage-of-sales donations and customer discounts for corporate matching. For example, 2% of sales up to $20 000 will be donated by the company to 14 July 2014. Unicast, Inc. is also offering a 20% discount on spare parts kits for its Convertible Diverter Valve, and it will then match this discount with a 20% donation to Chalice until 31 October 2014.

“Travelling to visit cement plants and mines around the world has really driven home the need for stable housing in these regions. We want to do what we can to help,” said Unicast founder, Gerry L’Esperance. “So far we’ve received overwhelming support from our customers.”
