Austroplan, acting on behalf of Yanbu Cement Company (YCC), Saudi Arabia, awarded the Final Taking Over Certificate (FTOC), signifying the successful completion of the project by Sinoma (Nanjing).
The YCC 10 000 tpd project was the fifth cement production line of Yanbu Cement Company. The previous four lines were built by European general contractors.
This project is Sinoma’s third 10 000 tpd production line constructed in Saudi Arabia. The company successfully overcame many unexpected difficulties during the construction period.
Algeria
Sinoma Tianjin has signed an EPC contract for a 5000 tpd clinker production line in Algeria. The greenfield Biskra project belongs to SPA CILAS Cement Company, a JV between Lafarge and Souakri Company of Algeria, located in the northeast of the country. The EPC contract includes design, equipment supply, civil construction, installation, training and commissioning. This is an important project in Algeria, and the second for Sinoma, which previously undertook the raw mill upgrade project at the Zahana cement plant.
