World Cement,
The National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association is now accepting applications for the 2015 Jennifer Curtis Byler Scholarship.
The scholarship, which is US$5000, was created to memorialise the life and accomplishments of Jennifer Curtis Byler, the daughter of Jack Curtis at L.C. Curtis and Son, a Georgia sand and gravel producer. She was a mother of four, was active in political organisations and served on a number of boards and commissions, including the Republican National Committee. She was also an effective fundraiser for Republican candidates.
The scholarship was started in her honour and graduating high school seniors or current college students who intend to pursue a career in politics, public relations or a related field, and are the children of aggregate industry employees, are encouraged to apply.
