Semcon has signed a new agreement with China Euro Vehicle Technology AB (CEVT) in Göteborg, Sweden, regarding aftermarket product information solutions for a new range of vehicles. Up to 40 consultants in Sweden and China will be involved in the delivery until the end of 2017. Semcon will develop and produce solutions that will increase user experience and optimise cost of ownership, e.g. owner’s information, diagnostic procedures and service & repair information.
“We have an extensive experience of product information for automotive customers in Sweden, UK, China and Germany. This new assignment is in line with our strategic ambition to become the preferred partner of aftermarket solutions to the automotive industry”, says Johan Ekener, President Product Information at Semcon.
The cooperation with CEVT begins during spring 2016 and will include a number of deliveries until the end of 2017. At the most, some 30 – 40 of Semcon’s consultants in Sweden and China will be involved in the delivery to CEVT, and much of the work will be done using Semcon’s proprietary development environment for product information.
“By partnering with Semcon, CEVT will get access to extensive know-how and very experienced people within the area of aftermarket product information solutions. Semcon’s ability to ramp-up quickly and deliver state-of-the-art solutions within a very short lead time have been a key reason to select Semcon for this assignment”, says Thomas Sandström, Vice President Aftersales at CEVT.
