World Cement,

The National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association (NSSGA) has been recognised by the Green Seal Green Office Partnership Program. Following a visit from a Green Seal specialist last year, recommendations were made as to how the NSSGA office could further integrate environmentally sensitive practices into their daily operations. Now, as a Green Seal office, NSSHA has become more sustainable in operational systems, including waste reduction and recycling, procurement, IT management and staff education.

NSSGA President and CEO Michael Johnson said: “Like our members, NSSGA is committed to sustainability and we appreciate this recognition from the Green Seal Green Office Partnership Program.  As the first construction materials group to be recognised, NSSGA is at the leading edge of sustainable office practices.”

“Green Seal is excited to be working with so many offices committed to reducing their environmental impacts,” says Ben Walsh, Project Coordinator at Green Seal, who manages the Green Office Program. “The program provides tangible returns and benefits to offices through more efficient operations and by distinguishing the office as an environmental leader. We have been encouraged by the enthusiasm all of these offices have shown to improving their operations.”
