Cemex plant claims prize

World Cement,
The Arizona Rock Products Association has awarded a Cemex plant with its Community Excellence Award for the third year in a row, this time going to the Coolidge Aggregate and Ready-Mix Plant.
The award recognises aggregate producers whose community involvement and support activities enhance the public’s perception and support of the aggregates industry.
Agustin Figueroa, Environmental Director for the Arizona and Southern Nevada Region, credits the Coolidge employees’ dedication to excellent housekeeping and extensive involvement in both community outreach and industry support activities as the deciding factors in tipping the judges’ decision their way.
Prior to the Coolidge Plant, the 7th Street Ready Mix Plant won the award in 2013 and the West Aggregates & Ready Mix Plant took home the honour in 2014.
