Cementos Fortaleza awards Fives an EPC contract

Fives has been awarded an EPC (turnkey) contract for the supply of a new complete 3300 tpd production line by Cementos Fortaleza SA de CV. The production line will be installed in its existing Tula cement plant in Mexico.
The EPC contract includes the design, supply, erection and commissioning of the cement production line. This new line will implement all of Fives’ most recently developed technologies in terms of energy savings and environmental footprint, including:
- FCB Kiln, FCB Zero-NOx Preca, FCB Preheater and Pillard NovaFlam® burner which will fit the burning line.
- FCB Horomill® and associated FCB TSV™ Classifiers for the raw meal and cement grinding plants.
- FCB B-mill and associated FCB TSV™ Classifier for the petcoke grinding plant.
Early cement production on the new line will commence in mid-2016.
