On 16 February 2016, the current Vice President of Innovation of Cementos Argos, Camilo Restrepo, was appointed as the new Vice President of its Caribbean and Central American Regional Division. He will be replacing Mauricio Ossa, who was recently named CEO of Odinsa.
Camilo studied environmental Engineering at the School of Engineering of Antioquia and holds a Master Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Maryland. He is currently finishing his MBA at the Goizueta Business School of Emory University, located in Atlanta, USA.
He started working as a Research and Development Analyst for Cementos Argos n 2005, and subsequently became Environmental Professional and R&D Manager, before ultimately being appointed to the role of Vice President of Innovation in 2012.
“It’s very gratifying to see Camilo’s professional development, as he is an employee who embodies the values of our Argos culture. He is an untiring, optimistic and creative leader and, above all, a great man. We are also very grateful for the way in which Mauricio Ossa contributed to the growth of this regional division, which currently generates close to 20% of Argos’ revenue and which represents a great deal of our company’s multiculturalism,” Jorge Mario Velásquez, the CEO of Cementos Argos, commented.
