French engineering company, Fives, has been awarded a contract to supply a new FCB Flash dryer at a cement plant in Honduras. The FCB Flash dryer will be equipped with a new Pillard HeatGen hot gas generator.
The new system will be installed on the existing cement ball mill at Cementos Del Norte’s Bijau plant in Honduras. The ball mill was originally supplied and installed by Fives FCB in 2001 for production of 90 tph of pozzolanic cement.
Since the original installation, however, both pozzolana content and moisture have increased significantly, creating the need for the FCB Flash dryer. Once in operation, the grinding plant drying capacity will be enhanced, with a corresponding benefit to hourly production.
