World Cement,
The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association’s Annual Convention and AGG1 Academy & Expo Opening General Session are approaching.
The sessions will offer the opportunity to better understand why people behave as they do and improve communication with others. Psychology expert Nicholas Epley conducts research on the experimental study of social cognition, perspective taking and intuitive human judgment. “Most people are intuitive psychologists in their daily lives – wondering why people think or behave as they do. I just happened to find a profession that enables me to answer these questions for a living,” explains Epley.
“We all want to know what our coworkers, bosses, friends and family are thinking, and more importantly, how to understand them,” said Pamala Bouchard, NSSGA vice president of membership. “Nicholas’ presentation will explain the science behind understanding people. We are very excited to have him join us for the Opening General Session in Nashville.”
Epley’s research has appeared in more than two dozen journals, including the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Psychological Science, Psychological Review and the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology.
