Itacamba Cemento is reportedly planning to increase its capacity
According to the Bolivian news source El Deber, Itacamba Cemento S.A. plans to increase its cement production capacity by constructing a new integrated plant in Yacuses, in the province of German Busch. The plant, which would represent an investment of approximately US$180 million, would have a cement production capacity of 800 000 tpa. It would supply the market in eastern Bolivia. The project is expected to create both direct and indirect jobs and contribute to the socio-economic development of the region.
This news follows the recent announcement that Ecebol will be establishing a new plant in Oruro with a clinker production capacity of 3000 tpd. The contract for the design, supply, construction and commissioning of the facility has been awarded to an international consortium led by Sacyr Industrial.
