Sacyr Industrial expands its portfolio in Bolivia with new cement plant contract
An international consortium led by Spain’s Sacyr Industrial has been awarded a contract by Bolivia’s Ecebol relating to the establishment of a greenfield cement plant in Oruro. The contract, which is worth US$244 million dollars (€178 million), includes design, equipment supply, construction, installation and commissioning, training and intellectual transfer for the new dry process cement plant. The facility will produce IP-30 Portland cement in line with Bolivian regulations. It will have a clinker capacity of 3000 tpd.
The contract will increase Sacyr Industrial’s activities in Bolivia. Elsewhere in the country, the company is involved in the execution of a gas collection system in the Caipipendi area and two power generation projects in Santa Cruz and Cochabamba.
