Cemex Dominican Republic announces investment projects
According to a statement on its Facebook page, Cemex Dominican Republic plans to invest DOP315 million in a new bagging, packing and palletizing line at it San Pedro de Macorís cement plant. The new line will enable Cemex to meet local demand over the next 5 years.
To further strengthen its position in the country, Cemex will also carry out a series of improvements on one of the plant’s mills in order to increase its cement production capacity.
The cement producer has also begun to receive delivery of 50 mixer trucks, representing an investment of DOP256.5 million. This will expand Cemex Dominican Republic’s fleet, making it one of the largest in the Caribbean.
