Summit Materials appoints Chief Operating Officer

Denver-based vertically integrated materials company, Summit Materials, has announced that as of 8 January, Karl H. Watson has been appointed Chief Operating officer, and Executive Vice President, succeeding Douglas C. Rauh.
Watson has more than 25 years’ experience in the construction and materials industry, and has been previously held prestigious positions in Mexican cement company, CEMEX S.A.B de C.V, and Australian building materials supplier Rinker Group Ltd.
“We are very pleased to have Karl join us,” said Tom Hill, CEO of Summit Materials. “His depth and breadth of knowledge of experience in our industry will add impactful leadership to our team”.
