CTLGroup appoints new CEO

World Cement,

CTLGroup, an engineering and materials science company based in Skokie, Illinois, USA, has appointed Brian D. Schudiske as CEO. Schudiske will take on the role from current Chief Operating Officer, Timothy Tonyan, who has led the company on an interim basis since the retirement of Wm. Brent Nixon as CEO last year.

CTLGroup began as the cement and concrete technology R&D laboratories of the Portland Cement Association (PCA), the trade body that represents US cement producers. It remains a fully-owned subsidiary of the association today.

Schudiske joins CTLGroup from SGS North American Inc., where he was General Manager, US Materials and Manufacturing. In this role, he held full operational and sales responsibility for the metallurgical and testing business of SGS in the US.

CTLGroup Chairman and American Cement Co. President, Cary Cohrs welcomed Schudiske to his new role, highlighting the “extensive knowledge in leading and growing business units and engineering-focused organisations” that Schudiske would bring to CTLGroup.

“He joins an excellent leadership team that together will continue to grow the organizations reputation as a premier engineering and science consulting firm around the glow,” added Cohrs.
