ASTM International has been awarded Accredited Provider status by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). IACET Accredited Providers are the only organisations approved to offer IACET Continuing Education Units (CEUs). In order to achieve Accredited Provider status, ASTM completed a rigorous application process, including a review by an IACET site visitor, and successfully demonstrated adherence to the ANSI/IACET 1-2007 Standard addressing the design, development, administration and evaluation of its programs.
“ASTM is proud of our award-winning continuing education programs for industry and government. Already, we equip thousands of professionals each year with important technical skills to help our customers stay on the cutting edge in fields such as petroleum, the environment and construction,” says James Thomas, president of ASTM International. “Our new partnership with IACET reflects our commitment to lifelong learning and to high-quality programs. We are excited to join an elite group of organisations that offer world-class continuing education and training programs.”
ASTM has pledged continued compliance with the standard and is now authorised to use the IACET name and Accredited Provider logo on promotional course material. In addition, ASTM is now linked to the IACET website and is recognised as offering the highest quality continuing education and training programs.
The recognition period extends for five years and includes programmes offered or created during that time.
