USGS has released its Mineral Industry Survey for cement in November 2015.
Total shipments of Portland and blended cement in the US and Puerto Rico in November 2015 were roughly 7.3 million t, an increase of 12.4% from November 2014. Shipments for the year through November totalled 84.9 t, an increase of 3.4% from the previous year. The leading producing States for Portland and blended cement in November were Texas, California, Missouri, Florida and Pennsylvania. These States accounted for 41% of the total shipments for the month. The leading cement-consuming States were Texas, California, Florida, Ohio and Illinois, which received about 39% of the November shipments.
Clinker production totalled 6.8 t in November 2015, down slightly from the output in November 2014. Production for the year through November was 69.6 t, up slightly from the same period in 2014. The leading clinker--producing States in November were Texas, California, Missouri, Florida, and Pennsylvania, and these accounted for almost 47% of the national total for the month.
