Italcementi Group personnel change

On October 1, Italcementi announced that Elena Zambon is retiring from its Board of Directors for professional reasons. She had been acting as Independent Director and was a member of the Strategic Committee of the Company, having been in charge since 16 April 2010.
This comes as the second personnel change for the Italcementi Group in the last two months. On 28 August, Alex Car was appointed as president and CEO of its Essroc North American operations. He succeeded Francesco Carantani who has taken on new duties within the Italcementi Group. Car previously served as senior vice president of cement sales and marketing and general manager of construction materials at Essroc.
