The Portland Cement Association (PCA) has praised the US Senate’s confirmation of Elaine Chao as Secretary of the US Department of Transportation.
“We congratulate Elaine Chao on her confirmation as Secretary of Transportation, and welcome the opportunity to work with her in the years ahead,” said PCA President and CEO James G. Toscas. “Her wealth of experience and admirable record of public service will be keen assets as she leads the Administration’s effort to revitalise America’s transportation infrastructure. The nation’s cement manufacturers are ready to support these efforts, by providing the essential foundation for vital transportation networks of all kinds – including highways, bridges, waterways, pipelines and runways.”
