PCA urges the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to reconsider enforcing a proposed lower, fine particulate matter (PM) National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS).

Ed Sullivan, Senior Vice President and Chief Economist, Portland Cement Association, provides a forecast of near-term US economic growth, construction activity, and the implications for cement consumption during 2023 – 2024.

The three-day virtual summit will offer updates on PCA’s Roadmap to carbon neutrality and insight from industry experts on technology, policy, and innovations.

Throughout the month, PCA will focus on the four common incidents cement manufacturers and their employees must be aware of and control to eliminate injuries and illnesses.

Two PCA member companies also won Energy Star Partner awards. CalPortland marks its 19th consecutive win this year, and this is the sixth year in a row that CEMEX USA has received the honour.

The recognition highlights progress in line with PCA’s efforts to reach net zero.
