World Cement,
FilterSense has released a self-validating particulate sensor for EPA compliance. The continuous particulate emission monitor and filter leak detector incorporates automatic zero and span for self-validation to comply with EPA, ISO and pharmaceutical checks. Combined with the company’s induction sensing and insulated-probe technologies, these self-validating features provide enhanced reliability and lower instrument maintenance costs than opacity and triboelectric technologies. This is particularly apparent in difficult applications such as pharmaceutical spray dryers, cement, carbon black, lead smelters, chemical plants, steel and coal burning power plants.
Benefits include EPA compliance, advanced process and system diagnostics to NAMUR 43/107, eliminating cleanup costs, preventing the escape of valuable powders and protecting downstream equipment such as turbines, blowers and HEPA filters.
