CHRYSO has officially launched its new CHRYSO®AMA 100 EL Activation Technology which allows cement manufacturers to substitute clinker for alternative and more environmentally friendly, cementitious materials, hence, reducing their carbon dioxide emissions, while preserving the mechanical strengths, durability and reliability of cement.
The company hopes to extend the use of locally-available cementitious materials such as limestone, slag, fly ash and pozzolana, lowering the clinker factor, without compromising on quality. Compressive strengths at both early ages and 28 days are improved in blended cements, regardless of the type of mineral additions. These improvements in strengths can be converted into additional clinker reduction in cement composition. CHRYSO®AMA 100 EL Technology also acts as a grinding aid to lower production costs; it is said to enable increased productivity by 10% to 15% and reduce energy costs depending on the process and expectations.
