Cemex Dominican Republic launches Evolution Eco
Cemex Dominican Republic held a launch event to present its latest innovation in concrete technology – Evolution Eco. The product forms part of the construction material manufacturer’s range of self-compacting concrete, under Cemex’s Evolution brand.
The new concrete aims to reduce costs and construction time, in addition to improving efficiency, productivity and quality.
Evolution Eco was developed by Cemex’s research group in Switzerland. Researchers, commercial teams, as well as concrete and technical teams within the different regions in which Cemex operates, worked together to fine tune the product, the design of which has been adapted to meet local country requirements.
The event in the Dominican Republic coincided with the product’s global launch. It was led by the President of Cemex Dominicana, Carlos Emilio González, and presented by Switzerland-based Davide Zampini, Cemex’s Director of Product Development and Construction Trends.
González noted that the launch represented a milestone for Cemex’s clients, who would benefit from a new product that provides advantages such as an easy and quick pour. Zampini outlined some of the other characteristics of Eco Evolution, which include enhanced workability within a shorter timeframe, offering greater homogeneity and a better finish.
