January 2013

This month sees the first of World Cement’s ‘Special Environmental Issues’, opening with an article from CEMBUREAU’s Koen Coppenholle discussing EU legislation in relation to the cement industry. The rest of the issue goes on to look at a variety of topics, ranging from mercury emissions, to SCRs, to innovations with microalgae. The issue will also include the final installment of the PCA’s trilogy of articles on NESHAP. January’s ‘Regional Report’ focuses on Russia and the CEE, including case studies, an in-depth view of the Polish cement market, as well as the impact of changes in construction activity throughout the region.
