UltraTech Cement joins LeadIT to accelerate low-carbon transition

UltraTech Cement has joined the Leadership Group for Industry Transition (LeadIT), strengthening its efforts to support the global shift towards low-carbon cement and concrete.
The membership was announced at a reception in New Delhi on 13 August 2026. Through LeadIT, UltraTech will work with governments, companies and other stakeholders to advance industrial decarbonisation through innovation and collaboration.
UltraTech has a global grey cement capacity of 205.5 million tpy and has set a target of delivering carbon-neutral concrete by 2050. Its decarbonisation efforts include greater energy efficiency, alternative fuels and raw materials, renewable energy, and low-carbon technologies.
E.R. Raj Narayanan, business head and chief manufacturing officer at UltraTech Cement, said the company was committed to accelerating the transition through innovation, partnerships, and action.
