Cherat Cement to build new production line

Pakistani cement company, Cherat Cement Co., is to acquire a third cement production line, according to a statement released to the Pakistan Stock Exchange. The project was approved at a recent board meeting.
The new cement line will be purchased from Tianjin Cement Industry Design and Research Co. Ltd and will have a production capacity of over 7100 tpd of cement. The new production line is expected to be commissioned in 2019 after a 27 month construction period.
Total cost of the project will be PKR13.5 billion (US$128.8 million). The new line will be located at Cherat’s existing site in Nowshera, Khyber Pakhtunkwa Province.
