Sandvik appoints Indian distributor

Sandvik has announced that Larsen & Toubro Construction & Mining Machinery Business Division is its new distributor for breakers throughout India, as of 18 march 2016. L&T CMB will supply not only the comprehensive range of Rammer breakers, but also L&T branded breakers, as well providing full aftermarket care, spare parts and dedicated customer service.

Breaker customers throughout India will now be able to benefit from even greater levels of support through the new distributor. The appointment of such a professional and experienced distributor reinforces Sandvik’s commitment in providing even greater levels of customer focus. It further enhances commitment to enhanced locally focused customer support, whilst at the same time enabling customers to benefit from dealing with a truly global company.

L&T CMB’s involvement in the Indian Construction and Mining Industries began distributing Caterpillar Earthmoving Equipment in1945. The company now acts as the sole distributors for Komatsu and Scania throughout India. In addition L&T is also a well-respected manufacturer of excavators, wheel loaders and compactors.

In order to support its large customer and equipment base, L&T CMB operates 22 local offices, five service centers, as well as one central and four regional training centers. These offices and facilities support the activities of 28 dealers and 783 trained personnel throughout India. In addition to its own local coverage, L&T CMB will be able to call on round the clock support from Sandvik Construction’s regional Indian offices and from the breaker factory in Lahti, Finland. These will further enable customers to benefit from the specialised advice and assistance that has made Sandvik the world leading supplier of construction equipment.
