The Dalmia Bharat Group is planning to minimise its environmental impact and maximise productivity at its new Rajgangpur plant. The plant will use only state-of-the-art technology for the project.

The project is designed to optimise power and fuel efficiency from the crusher to the packing plant. The purpose is both to reduce operating costs and to achieve the smallest possible environmental footprint. In order to meet the high ambitions of the project, Dalmia Bharat selected FLSmidth to deliver the complete full flow sheet of the latest equipment and machinery. This includes electrical, instrumentation, and automation equipment.

Dalmia Bharat has been a top performing company in cement manufacturing since 1939. Now controlling an expandable capacity of 26.1 million t of cement, the company is now among the highest capacities in the Indian cement industry.

Once it is completed in 2019, the new integrated cement plant will set new standards for Indian cement production, both in terms of productivity and its environmental impact.

“We have worked closely with Dalmia Bharat for the past many years,” said Hari TR, Head of Cement at FLSmidth in India. “This is a company strongly committed to its environmental responsibility. We are very proud to have been chosen to partner in this project, which will increase the company’s overall output and lower its cost of operations, all with a minimal impact on the environment during the lifetime of the plant.”
