A1 Services has become Heidelberg Materials, reflecting that it is part of one of the UK’s leading suppliers of construction materials.
The company specialises in waste removal and recycling of soils, concrete hardcore and general waste from building, construction and civil engineering projects. It was acquired by Heidelberg Materials (then Hanson UK) in 2022 as part of its strategy to conserve the use of natural resources and its commitment to the circular economy.
James Whitelaw, Recycling Managing Director at Heidelberg Materials UK, said: “Rebranding A1 Services is the next step to completing the integration of the business and will allow customers to benefit from the high standards in sustainability, health and safety and customer service expected across all of our activities.”
Promoting circularity by recycling, reusing and reducing the use of primary raw materials is crucial to reaching net zero and Heidelberg Materials’ recycling business line will enable more to be built with less.
