Breedon appoints Amit Bhatia Deputy Chairman

Breedon Group has appointed Amit Bhatia as non-executive Deputy Chairman. Bhatia has served as a non-executive director since 2016, following Breedon’s acquisition of Hope Construction Materials. Bhatia has been Executive Chairman of Hope Construction Materials before the sale.
Bhatia is a Director of Abicad Holding Ltd, a shareholder of Breedon, as well as being a co-owner and Vice Chairman of Queens Park Rangers Football Club, a London-based soccer club currently playing the second-tier of English football.
Bhatia is an alumnus of Cornell University and started his career at Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley in New York, followed by Credit Suisse First Boston in London. He is a founder and Senior Partner of Swordfish Investments.
Breedon Group is the largest independent construction materials company in the UK and Ireland, operating two cement plants, as well as significant aggregates, asphalt, and ready-mixed concrete businesses.
