Pikalevsky Cement
Eurocement’s Pikalevsky Cement produced 991 900 t of high quality and environmentally friendly cement in the first seven months of 2014. This represents a 1.5% (14 319 t) increase compared to the same period last year. During the reporting period, the company shipped 48 400 t of cement in containers (a 2.8% y/y increase).
Furthermore, Pikalevsky Cement produced more than 651 000 t of limestone, a 13% y/y improvement compared to the first seven months of 2013.
Maltsovsky Portland
At the III International Economic Forum Slavic Bryansk, Nicholas Karjakin, General Director of Maltsovsky Portland, signed a cooperation agreement with Alexander Kasatsky, Vice-Governor and First Deputy Prime Minister of the Bryansk region, for the construction of a new 5 million tpa cement plant.
The contract for the supply of equipment, design, installation supervision and training of staff for the construction of the new plant was signed by Eurocement and China Triumph International Engineering Co., Ltd. (part of CNBM) on 20 May in Shanghai in the presence of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The contract includes the supply of the mechanical and electrical equipment, automation equipment, as well as the instrumentation for the kilns, installation cyclone preheater, crushers and mills.
