Generational change in the supervisory board of the Wietersdorfer Group

Axel Kühner and Yorck Schmidt have been appointed to the Supervisory Board of the Wietersdorfer Group, which remains a 100% family-owned company. They succeed Winfried Braumann, who had served on the supervisory body since 2009, and Jakob Mosser, who had been a member of the Supervisory Board since 2012. In addition, a generational transition is taking place regarding the chairmanship of the Supervisory Board, with Christina Fromme-Knoch handing over the position to Bertram Ziegenfuß.

“With Axel Kühner and Yorck Schmidt, we are gaining two internationally experienced personalities for the Supervisory Board of the Wietersdorfer Group. Both bring different perspectives that will be valuable for our continued development,” said Bertram Ziegenfuß, shareholder representative and newly elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Wietersdorfer Group.

Ziegenfuß thus takes over the baton from shareholder representative Christina Fromme-Knoch, who chaired the Wietersdorfer Supervisory Board for 15 years.

Axel Kühner brings many years of experience in the management and transformation of internationally active industrial companies, while Yorck Schmidt contributes extensive expertise in financial and strategic corporate management, as well as international governance. Together, they add valuable competencies to the existing Supervisory Board and will support the long-term development of the Group.
